Served as Honorary Consul – General of India for many years.

Elected member of Parliament from 1976 to 1991 as Representative of the Latin Community in the House of Representatives.

Received several distinctions and decorations in recognition of his works in several fields, as follows:

Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulture.

Knighted by the Vatican as “Knight-Commander of the order of St. Gregory the Great” with PLATE.

Decorated with an M.B.E. by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for services rendered to the United Kingdom.

Decorated by the President of Lebanon with the “Knight of Cedars”.
